At FCC, we are followers of Jesus that seek to tell the whole world about God’s love. And our Internships and Residencies program is no different. We work with individuals to develop and grow their love for the local church and an excitement for ministry everywhere.
TYPES OF INTERNSHIPS & RESIDENCIES
Team Internships - Team Internships are offered by semester and are, typically, unpaid. These are the most flexible in schedule and are usually specific to one of the teams listed on the next page.
Staff Internships - Staff Internships are offered by semester and can be paid or unpaid. These include attendance to All-Staff Meetings when class schedule allows.
Residencies - Residencies are offered on a part-time basis for usually one year and are typically paid. These may be specific to a team or include a variety of experiences across teams.
AREAS OF INTEREST
Internships and residencies fluctuate each semester and year but may be available in any of the following areas or crafted to meet a unique need and/or ministry interest:
Welcome & Involvement Team - Connections, Welcome, Hospitality, Community Outreach, and Ministry to Unhoused Neighbors
Groups Team - Pastoral Care, Adult Groups, Spanish-speaking Community, College-Age, Top Two Generations, and Curriculum and Teaching
Family Team - Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle School, and High School.
Worship & Communications Team - Worship & Production, Graphic Design, Video Production, and Social Media.
Operations Team - Administration, Business, Facility, Missions, and Weekday Preschool.
STEPS FOR APPROVAL
Requirements prior to approval of an applicant:
• Completed internship or residency application
• Three references
• Background check through FCC
• Meeting with a ministry area leader
• Interview
• Connection made with an FCC-JC staff member in your area of interest

Applications accepted beginning August 1 and ending October 1. Placement notification will occur by November 1.
Aug.-Dec. Semester Internships
Aug.-July Residencies
Applications accepted beginning February 1 and ending May 1. Placement notification will occur by June 1.
