The Coalition is a non-profit organization with a mission to help children in need. Here they find a safe place, with professional tutors and a staff of volunteers. C4K is not a daycare facility. After school Coalition children find help with homework, reading and math assistance, music and art lessons, athletics, special preventative programs for violence and substance abuse, and a free snack and dinner.

Families Free is designed to build better communities through the transformation of vulnerable families, especially those affected by incarceration. Families Free provides evidence-based services combined with the faith-based principles of compassion, healing, and restoration to promote positive lifestyle changes within communities’ most at-risk and overlooked populations.

The mission of Family Promise of Greater Johnson City (FPJC) is to help homeless and low income families achieve sustainable independence. They provide a network of faith congregations and community agencies to promote a collaborative response for homeless families with children.

Good Samaritan Ministries is a non-profit ministry founded in 1985 in Johnson City, TN and provides for the emergency needs of the poor, low income, homeless, individuals/families-at-risk, children, veterans and elderly populations through education, mentoring and social services. Good Samaritan works with individuals and families on long-term solutions for their financial, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Sharing the love of Jesus Christ, and preventing homelessness and serving the homeless are important to Good Sam. It is their goal to work with other community agencies to better meet the needs of the poor, cut down on the duplication of services, and form community partnerships. 

The name LXI is comes from Isaiah 61 (LXI is roman numerals for 61). LXI seeks to meet the relational and spiritual needs of Urban Youth in Johnson City, Tennessee by breaking generational cycles that destroy hope for the future.

Manna House is a 24-bed facility providing safe and affordable, transitional housing for homeless men; focused on improving their current situation, and therein their life. All of the residents are chronically homeless according to HUD’s definition, and generally have addiction, legal problems, and mental health issues. Because the residents of The Manna House have accepted the powerlessness of their addictions and have made the conscious decision toward recovery, a high level of accountability and security exists at The Manna House. During their two-year program, residents attend twelve-step meetings, and there is a zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and drugs.

Rise Up is a daily after school program, an individual and group mentoring program, and life prep program. So 25 years later, thousands of kids have passed through their sports teams, in-school relationship training program, camps, or other programs, all knowing, whether for a day or for years, that they are loved, cherished, and belong there.

Safe Families for Children is a movement fueled by compassion to keep children safe and families intact. Through Host Families, Family Friends, and Family Coaches, they temporarily host children and provide a network of support to families in crisis while they get back on their feet.

The River supports women and children by offering a safe space to do laundry and find assistance with various hygienic needs such as diapers and baby wipes.
